Jim Friend is a proud husband of 47 years, father of three, and dedicated volunteer in our community. He is a regular volunteer at Freestore Foodbank, St. Francis Seraph, and Give Like A Mother (GLAM). For the past four years, Jim has served as President of his neighborhood’s Homeowners Association, where he has led with a focus on listening, building consensus, and finding practical solutions to community concerns. This work also gave him the opportunity to engage directly with Blue Ash City Council and develop a deeper understanding of city issues.

Professionally, Jim spent more than 40 years in leadership roles in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. He built a career leading teams, training sales professionals, and fostering collaboration across diverse groups. His work took him across the country, including eight years in Symmes Township, before he and his wife chose to make Blue Ash their permanent home.

Jim is passionate about ensuring all voices in the community are heard and represented. When he’s not volunteering or spending time with his grandchildren, you’ll find him golfing at Blue Ash Golf Course or traveling—he has visited all 50 states, 60 countries, and all 7 continents.
